About Me.
With a keen ear for music of all genres that spans all decades, Avantia Sterling-Batista is a rising talent in the music supervision community and a force to be reckoned with. The St. John’s University alum jumpstarted her career in the heart of NYC as an urban music programmer for Music Choice. Soon after her tenure there Batista moved onto VH1 where she became an integral part of their Music & Talent Relations department working multiple tentpoles including the You Oughta Know Concert series and the MTV Video Music Awards.
With a work ethic that is unmatched and musical knowledge that goes beyond the charts, she was phased into the in-house music supervision team, Creative Music Integration, at VIACOM where she managed the music licensing process for the Love & Hip Hop franchise. Most recently, Ms. Batista pivoted into Film, joining the Global Creative Content team at Paramount Pictures. When she's not catching up on her favorite TV shows or going to see new films, she’s running across Los Angeles with her neighborhood run club.
